Records of the Office of the Dean, Cornell University Medical College, the majority of the material relating to the administrations of Dr. William S. Ladd and Dr. Joseph C. Hinsey, including addresses and speeches, correspondence, foundations, and programs, 1893-1956 (1934-1953, bulk). Of note are files of the work of Dr. George Papanicolaou. Also, extant files from the terms of Drs. William M. Polk, Walter L. Niles, and G. Canby Robinson, including annual reports, departmental files, and files on the Douglas Deeds of Gift and the Dept. of Surgery, 1903-1934. Correspondence files of the Office of the Dean during the latter years that Dr. J. Robert Buchanan served in that position. Included are memoranda, copies of speeches delivered, and correspondence concerning staffing, budgets, and the Children's Television Workshop health series, some personal notes to donors and contributors, and letters concerning the Association of Medical Schools of New York/New Jersey, 1973-1976.
